Berkeley Medical Center is affiliated with Jefferson Memorial Hospital and Harpers Ferry Family Medicine in Ranson, WV under the WVU Medicine system. This enables us to partner with a nearby family practice site (Harpers Ferry Family Medicine) in Ranson, WV for ambulatory care experience.

Residency Special Features:   

The program will vary for each resident based on upon his or her goals and interests. Residents have 5 core rotations (internal medicine, critical care, administration, infectious disease, and ambulatory care). Additional opportunities include the development of a practice-related research project, oral/verbal communication skills, competency in operational practice, the completion of a medication-use evaluation (MUE), the completion of a Teaching Certificate Program, and participation in various hospital committees. Elective learning experiences are also available.

Our site is part of the eastern division of WVU Medicine. As the Eastern Panhandle grows, Berkeley Medical Center has been growing to meet the needs of the community. Berkeley Medical Center provides multiple service lines that are able to care for a variety of patients, including a neonatal intensive care unit and growing pediatric medicine service, cardiac cath lab, neurosurgery, orthopedics, oncology, behavioral health, emergency care, and critical care.
