Residency Special Features:   The resident will be trained to care for patients with cardiovascular disease in both the ambulatory and hospital settings. Additionally, residents are expected to participate in in-house call program during July & August and Critical Care Weekend Clinical Staffing during September - June; present 1 seminar for ACPE credit; complete 1 research project; present the results of their research at a professional meeting (e.g., American College of Cardiology); participate in quality initiatives, deliver at least 1 didactic lectures, participate in and help coordinate Critical Care conferences throughout the year; and submit at least 1 manuscript suitable for publication.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   PharmD degree, completion of PGY1 residency, Illinois licensure (eligibility), completed application submitted through PHORCAS that includes college transcripts & 3 letters of reference (no additional form needed), onsite interview during which the candidate will present a 20 – 30 minute seminar on a topic of his/her choice.
