Residency Special Features:   *NMS Code 156013 - traditional; NMS Code 156021 - 24-month non-traditional. Our integrated patient-centered model promotes clinical opportunities for all of our pharmacists. Pharmacy Practice, Infectious Diseases, Drug Information, Administration/Leadership, Medicine I and II, and MICU are all required rotations. Elective rotations include various opportunities in critical care (Surgical ICU, Cardio-Thoracic ICU, Neuro-Spine ICU, Neonatal ICU), Emergency Medicine, Hematology/Oncology services, Solid Organ Transplant, Informatics, Psychiatry, HIV, and Cardiology. Each year more than 450 students representing 10 schools of pharmacy complete rotations at Northwestern. Additionally, experiential education, research projects, transitions of care, professional socialization and leadership development are other important aspects of the program.
