Residency Special Features:   

*NMS Code 136913 - Evanston Hospital; NMS Code 136921 - Skokie Hospital; NMS Code 136922 - Glenbrook Hospital; NMS Code 136923 - Highland Park Hospital. This is a comprehensive, multi-site PGY1 pharmacy residency program with both clinical and management exposure. General Medicine, Critical Care, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Pharmacy Administration are required rotations. Elective rotations are available in many areas, including advanced critical care, antimicrobial stewardship, cardiology, infectious disease consult, informatics, medication safety, neonatology, oncology, pharmacogenomics, and women's health. In addition to the rotations, residents also complete the following longitudinal learning experiences: ambulatory care, drug policy, medication use evaluation, major project, medication safety, teaching certificate, and service commitment. Practice management skills are developed through participation on multidisciplinary committees and completion of projects related to quality improvement, financial management, human resources, medication safety, drug use policy, drug distribution and customer service. The resident may be traveling between sites for experiences.
