Residency Special Features:   The Grandview Medical Center pharmacy practice (PGY-1) residency offers a variety of experiences. This program has equipped its residents for positions in generalized clinical roles, PGY-2 training, academia, and others. Core rotations include Antimicrobial Stewardship, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine I, Orientation, Pharmacy Administration, Pharmacy Operations/Informatics, and Projects/Education. Elective rotations include Ambulatory Care, Cardiology, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Intensive Care I & II, Internal Medicine II, and Nephrology. Residents will have an appointment faculty position at Ohio Northern University to complete a Teaching certificate program. Longitudinal activities include completion of a research project, lectures to Internal Medicine residency program, seminar presentations, journal clubs, and involvement on hospital committees.
