Residency Special Features:   

Residents will serve on interdisciplinary teams and participate in a wide variety of rotations to enhance their pharmacy practice skills. Strengths include cardiology, internal medicine, family practice medicine, emergency medicine, and hospice. Additional opportunities include critical care, ambulatory care, and infectious disease. Residents will earn a teaching certificate through Northeast Ohio Medical University. Graduates will be prepared for adjunct faculty positions, acute care positions, and a variety of PGY-2 programs. Site Special Features:   Aultman is Stark County's largest hospital and largest employer. The inpatient pharmacy utilizes cutting-edge technology with several state-of-the-art automated systems to provide the safest, most efficient care possible. Thirteen clinical pharmacists participate on interdisciplinary teams, provide discharge counseling and work closely with the hospitalist and teaching services daily. Clinical pharmacists also play an active role in educating staff and pharmacy students. The on-site informatics team serves as a valuable resource to the pharmacy department.
