The PGY1 Program at Good Samaritan Hospital is a 12-month curriculum designed to provide residents the opportunity to expand beyond the entry level education of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Required rotations include orientation, internal medicine, critical care, ambulatory care, emergency medicine, and infectious diseases. Electives include neonatal intensive care, informatics, hematology/oncology (inpatient and outpatient), informatics, cardiology, palliative medicine, and more. Residents participate in the University of Cincinnati Teaching Certificate Program, and are required to complete a research project for presentation at national and regional conferences.
