Residency Special Features:   This well-established residency program provides flexible, comprehensive training in a variety of areas. Pharmacy residents at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin are part of a progressive pharmacy department that supports clinical pharmacy services in a variety of settings including: required rotations in internal medicine, pharmacy administration (choose from clinical, operations, ambulatory, medication safety, or residency program management), critical care (chose from medical, surgical/trauma, neurosurgical or cardiovascular), and clinical practice (longitudinal). Elective rotations include emergency medicine, infectious disease, oncology, solid organ transplant, cardiology, diabetes management, academia, ambulatory care, and several other options. Rotations and activities are tailored to meet the needs and interests of each resident. Opportunities exist to earn a teaching certificate and to serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students. Residents will also participate in interdisciplinary committees to facilitate skill development related to design and implementation of patient care and quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, Froedtert offers multiple PGY2 residency training programs.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   PharmD from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy. Eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Wisconsin. All application materials to be submitted through PhORCAS.
