Special Requirements for Acceptance:    The applicant must possess a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE accredited college or school of Pharmacy, completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 residency, and be eligible for licensure in Alabama. The required components of the application that must be submitted include a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, 3 references, a pharmacy school transcript, and a photograph of the applicant.

Site Special Features:   Huntsville Hospital is one of the largest not-for-profit hospitals in the nation with 971 licensed beds. We serve as a regional referral center for North Alabama and Southern Tennessee. Huntsville Hospital comprises three hospitals: Huntsville Hospital (the original institution), Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children, and Madison Hospital (opened in 2012).

Huntsville Hospital’s adult oncology services include 36 inpatient beds, an adult outpatient chemotherapy infusion clinic, autologous stem cell transplant unit, and support for 20 local oncologists.  We also provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric hematology/oncology services, through our St. Jude affiliate clinic.
