Started in 2015, a residency at BHL will prepare the resident to excel as acute-care pharmacy clinicians or to pursue further second year training programs. Required rotations include internal medicine, critical care, hematology/oncology, infectious disease/antimicrobial stewardship, cardiology, emergency medicine, transitional care, and pharmacy management. Longitudinal experiences include evidence based medicine, research project, project management, and pharmacy distribution. The residents will also participate in the ASHP Teaching Certificate for Pharmacists. Electives include but not limited to NICU and OR/anesthesiology.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

US citizens/permanent US resident, PharmD graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy and Kentucky pharmacist licensure eligible. Submission of application materials ( letter of intent, curriculum vitae, transcripts and three letters of recommendation) will be completed through PhorCAS.
