Residency Special Features:   The PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy residency program at University of Mississippi Medical Center provides residents with a comprehensive critical care experience. Core critical care experiences are provided in the surgical/trauma ICU, medical ICU, cardiovascular ICU and neuroscience ICU. Other rotation opportunities are available in nutrition support, pediatric ICU, neonatial ICU, acute care nephrology, infectious diseases, bone marrow transplant, emergency medicine and a private hospital medical/surgical ICU. Residents are offered various opportunities to enhance their teaching skills through a partnership with the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Additional longitudinal experiences are provided in disaster planning, medication use evaluation and journal club and therapeutics presentations.
