Residency Special Features:   Holston Valley Medical Center's PGY1 pharmacy residency program will provide the pharmacy resident with a challenging and rewarding experience designed to enhance their current knowledge base. The program aims to improve clinical and practice management skills of the resident and to improve the overall healthcare of our patients. The program offers learning experiences in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pharmacy Practice, Leadership & Stewardship, Cardiology, Critical Care II, Clinical Informatics, Ambulatory Care - Oncology, and Ambulatory Care - Family Medicine. The program also offers a Teaching and Learning Certification through the ETSU Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy. The resident will participate in multidisciplinary rounds and patient/staff education and will present formal lectures, case discussions, and medication reviews. Additionally, the resident will precept pharmacy students and conduct a practice-based research project during the residency year.
Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Pharm.D. degree, eligibility for Tennessee licensure, official copy of academic transcript, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, letter of intent.
