Residency Special Features:   This residency program is designed to prepare pharmacists for advanced level practice at a community-based hospital. The resident is responsible and accountable for the provision and oversight of evidence-based, patient-centered medication related outcomes. The resident will develop a strong foundation in pharmacotherapy, operational, and practice management skills. Required and elective rotations include Anticoagulation, Cardiology, Critical Care, Drug Information/Drug Use Policy, Emergency Medicine, Hospital Pharmacy Practice, Infectious Disease, Informatics, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Nutrition Support, Pain Management, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacy Practice Management, and Student precepting.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   The applicant should be a graduate of an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program, eligible for licensure in Tennessee, should submit a detailed letter of interest, current curriculum vitae, official pharmacy school transcripts, and three letters of recommendation through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) website at www.ashp.org/phorcas. Applicants are required to participate in the Resident Matching Program. Applicants must also be able to participate in an on-site interview.
