Residency Special Features:   

This program is designed to gain exposure to varied areas of pharmacy practice including internal medicine, cardiology, critical care, drug information, and practice management. In addition this program offers unique training opportunities including experience in institutional psychiatric facilities for children and adults, and experience in a rural institutional setting. Residents deliver formal presentations, conduct an original research project, and help precept students from the University of Tennessee, the University of Georgia, Belmont University, Lipscomb University, and Mercer University.

Apart from the excellent training residents will receive at Parkridge Medical Center, Parkridge Health Systems other facilities have unique opportunities to experience areas such as rural institutional pharmacy at Parkridge West Hospital, inpatient psychiatric pharmacy in adults and children at Parkridge Valley Hospital, and neonatal intensive care at Parkridge East Hospital. Beautiful Chattanooga is famous for its outdoor scene with ample opportunity for hiking, biking, and camping in the areas abundant mountains, lakes, and rivers.
