Residency Special Features:   

This program provides residents the opportunity to participate in learning experiences in critical care, cardiology, emergency medicine, antimicrobial stewardship, internal medicine, and pharmacy administration. Elective experiences in pediatrics and nutrition are available. Residents will have the opportunity to precept pharmacy students from local colleges of pharmacy and will complete a research project to be presented at a residency meeting. The goal of our program is to develop confident and competent clinical pharmacy practitioners upon completion of this residency.

Residents will be eligible for full benefits including health/dental/vision insurance and paid time off (PTO). Travel expenses to required meetings are reimbursed.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program with Tennessee licensure eligibility. Required documents include letter of intent, curriculum vitae, pharmacy school transcript and three (3) letters of recommendation.

The pharmacy department is well-established, well-respected and considered an integral part of the patient care team. The pharmacy department is associated with Lipscomb College of Pharmacy and the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy.
