Residency Special Features:   

Residents will complete a major project, provide education to patients, students, and healthcare professionals, serve on institutional committees, and participate in departmental projects. Residents participate in longitudinal experiences including pharmacy resident conference, research development, and leadership development along with the University residents. Residents can participate in the UTHSC Teaching and Learning Program and complete didactic lectures within the college of pharmacy. Residents have the option to spend one elective rotation at University Hospital or LeBonheur.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:

Methodist Germantown, part of Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare, is a 313 acute care community hospital in Germantown, Tennessee that offers a variety of experiences including Neonatal Intensive Care and Surgery. Pharmacists are part of the healthcare team and actively participate in medication order review, therapeutic drug monitoring, protocol management, patient education, and student and resident preceptorship. MLH also provides experiential training for student pharmacists from the University of Tennessee and Union University.
