The Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency program at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is designed to provide extensive training and opportunities in a fast-paced academic Emergency Department. The program will allow the resident to participate as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team caring for patients in the ED. The residency year will enhance the practitioner's skills in emergency medicine with focus on areas such as: trauma, emergency medicine, pediatric and adult intensive care, toxicology and infectious diseases. The resident will receive an adjunct appointment at the College of Pharmacy and will have ample opportunities for teaching.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Doctor of Pharmacy degree, completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy practice residency, and eligibility for Iowa licensure. Completed application, college transcripts, three letters of recommendation, curriculum vitae, and letter of intent.
