Residency Special Features:   

North Kansas City Hospital provides a multifaceted site offering a wide range of experiences in the required rotations while adapting to individual Resident interests during the elective portion. Opportunities will be afforded for involvement on multidisciplinary projects focused on evidence based practice initiatives, presentation/attendance at local/national pharmacy meetings, and for collaborating with preceptors to train advanced practice students. Residents will also participate in a residency teaching certificate program offered through the UMKC School of Pharmacy.

North Kansas City Hospital has aligned with area leaders in healthcare to improve the quality of care available to our patients. This includes the University of Kansas Cancer Center for Oncology, Children's Mercy Hospital in our level III NICU, and Signature Psychiatric Hospital for psychiatric care. The pharmacy department has also established a link with the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Pharmacy as a training site for students as well as faculty placement.
