Residency Special Features:   The pharmacy resident will develop clinical skills to provide care for pediatric patients in a variety of settings. In addition to required experiences in general pediatrics and neonatal/pediatric intensive care, the resident can gain experience in a variety of patient care areas which include family medicine, adult internal medicine, ambulatory care, infectious diseases, hematology/oncology, psychiatry, emergency medicine, and pharmacy administration. The resident is required to complete a longitudinal research project, a medication use evaluation, and provide in-services to medical staff and formal medication therapy presentations to pharmacy and medical staff. Research findings will be presented at national pharmacy conferences. The resident has the option to complete a teaching certificate program through UMKC School of Pharmacy.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   PharmD or equivalent experience, eligible for licensure in Missouri, Curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and MU Health Care application.
