Residency Special Features:   

Sanford Health's Ambulatory Care Residency provides opportunity for residents to work alongside providers in the management of various complex chronic disease states. The residency provides the opportunity for independent practice, incorporating accumulated experience and knowledge into the establishment of patient care. Clinic opportunities include Diabetes Management through a collaborative practice agreement and Transition-in-Care management through post-hospital clinic shared visits and telephonic follow-up. Additional opportunities include Geriatrics clinic, Family Medicine Clinic, Pain Clinic, Infectious Disease Clinic, Anticoagulation-Clinic, Transplant/Dialysis Clinic, Home Infusion Pharmacy, Specialty Pharmacy and Medication Safety. Residents prepare a major project and assist in precepting APPE students. A teaching certificate will be obtained through North Dakota State University.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Applicants shall be graduates of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Doctor of Pharmacy degree program or have equivalent experience and hold an active pharmacy license, or be eligible for licensure, in North Dakota and Minnesota. Required application materials include: letter of interest (include areas of interest and reason for pursuing residency), curriculum vitae, academic transcript and three letters of recommendation to be submitted via PhORCAS.
