Residency Special Features:   UAMS Northwest Pharmacy Residency provides broad-based learning experiences with a focus on primary care and provides both inpatient and outpatient clinical practice. Rotations and electives are offered at health care sites throughout Northwest Arkansas including Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas, Washington Regional Medical Center, and Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks. Teaching opportunities available through UAMS College of Pharmacy and UAMS Family Medicine Residency Program.

Site Special Features:   Residents have longitudinal ambulatory care PharmD clinic at UAMS NW Family Medical Centers managing diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, asthma, anticoagulation therapy and other chronic conditions. Residents gain experience with tele-health at Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks. Residents participate in Infectious Disease transition of care program and antimicrobial stewardship at Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas. Residents participate in Teaching Certificate and Residency Research Certificate Programs. Residents have two months precepting APPE pharmacy students.
