Residency Special Features:   The postgraduate one year residency with emphasis in ambulatory care includes training in internal medicine, family practice, and medical subspecialties including neurology, cardiology, endocrinology, anticoagulation, infectious disease, hematology/oncology, HIV/AIDS and women's health. The primary emphasis of this program will be placed upon the development of clinical practice skills that can be applied to pharmacist-managed, interdisciplinary, or managed care team approaches to patient care. Opportunities will also be available for the resident to participate in outcomes research and didactic and experiential teaching.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Application, letter of interest, curriculum vitae, academic transcript, 3 recommendation letters (at least 1 from a pharmacy faculty member), Pharm.D. or equivalent experience and eligibility for licensure in the state of Louisiana.
