Residency Special Features:   Woman's Hospital Pharmacy Practice Residency is designed to provide a variety of experiences in direct patient care, medication safety, and pharmacy management. Experiences include but are not limited to: Obstetrics, Neonatal Intensive Care, Adult Critical Care, Adult Internal Medicine, Pharmacy Administration, and Medication Safety/Quality. Residents will present in-services, participate in team rounds, and complete a major project. Teaching / precepting opportunities are available.

Louisiana pharmacist license must be obtained by September 30.  Any time the resident is not licensed as a pharmacist in Louisiana, he/she must have an active intern license in Louisiana.  Residents graduating in May must take NAPLEX and MJPE examinations before starting the residency program (July 1).

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   U.S. work eligible, Pharm.D., LA licensure eligible, residency application, curriculum vitae, intent letter, three recommendation letters, pharmacy college transcripts, interview.
