Residency Special Features:   

The University of Texas - Southwestern Medical Center is comprised of two academic medical centers, three outpatient cancer infusion centers, one ambulatory infusion center, five retail pharmacies and a specialty pharmacy. UT Southwestern offers a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency experience in an exciting and expanding healthcare system. Core education experiences in clinical pharmacy practice through rotations in acute care, critical care, infectious disease, cardiology and practice management. Additional rotation options include solid organ transplant, hematology/oncology, ambulatory care, informatics, medication safety and many other learning experiences. Additionally, longitudinal experiences include staffing, drug information, and pharmacist-run anticoagulation clinic. Our pharmacist staff consists of more than 30 board certified pharmacists to service our patients.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

Participation in PhORCAS, including letter of intent, College of Pharmacy transcripts, three letters of reference, CV and eligibility for Texas licensure. Minimum GPA 3.1.
