Residency Special Features:   

This comprehensive program with a primary focus in ambulatory care consists of core learning experiences including primary care, anticoagulation, geriatrics, adult medicine, pharmacy management, inpatient/outpatient operations, and research. Various elective opportunities will be made available to complement resident interests. Upon completion, the resident will be a skilled clinical pharmacist capable of functioning autonomously and as an integral member of any interdisciplinary team, well-qualified to pursue PGY2 residency training and/or board certification.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   

U.S. citizenship, Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy, licensure, academic transcript, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, letter of intent, and two samples of written work (DI question or journal club).

The George H. O'Brien, Jr. VAMC is at the core of WTVAHCS and is located in Big Spring, TX. Stockton, Midland/Odessa, San Angelo, Stamford) and Eastern New Mexico (Hobbs) to provide 53,000 square miles of service area.
