Residency Special Features:   The UMC El Paso residency program's main objective is to provide the resident with a challenging, well-rounded training experience. Program emphasis will be in developing clinical and administrative skill sets and medication safety leadership. Longitudinal experiences will include medication safety, hospital pharmacy practice, and administration. Required rotations included are orientation, internal medicine, critical care, ambulatory care, infectious disease, pediatrics, research and administration. Electives available will include toxicology, emergency medicine, and psychiatry. Residents will present major and minor projects, prepare monthly presentations, and precept students.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Pharm.D. degree, licensure in Texas or eligible, academic transcript, CV, letter of interest/intent, and three letters of recommendation. Applicants must enroll in the Resident Match Program and submit all materials through PhORCAS system.
