Residency Special Features:   

The purpose of the program is to develop a competent and confident clinical pharmacist that is a valued member of the health care team. Direct patient care services focus on drug therapy management, drug information, and patient education. Practice areas include ambulatory care, anticoagulation, internal medicine, CKD & dialysis, diabetes, HIV, psychiatry, and respiratory therapy services that are offered in clinic or by telemedicine. The resident will attend the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and area residency conference.

Technology eliminated pharmacist final check allowing pharmacists to perform in-depth profile review and to provide other services that support healthcare staff in ensuring safe and effective use of medications. Clinical services are decentralized, designed to improve outcomes and cost effectiveness. Services offered include MTM, academic detailing, drug information, P&T Committee consulting, formulary management, and guideline development.
