Residency Special Features:   NMS Code: *179113 PGY1 and NMS Code: 179121 PGY1 International.The University of Arizona PGY1 program at Banner—University Medical Center Tucson prepares pharmacists to provide direct patient care in an acute care setting and provides a foundation for success in advanced training programs. Six months of core learning experiences ensure that all residency program goals are evaluated while allowing the resident to tailor their experience through a variety of electives. Additionally, PGY1 residents participate in the Teaching Certificate (PRSTL) Program.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Letter of intent, curriculum vitae, pharmacy school transcripts, three letters of recommendation, Pharm.D. or equivalent experience, eligibility for Arizona licensure.
