Residency Special Features:   

A comprehensive residency in a free-standing children's hospital that provides robust opportunities not limited to: Operations, clinical, independent staffing, code/ trauma training, leadership, and teaching/precepting. Flexibility is an important aspect of our program to meet individual needs and interests of the resident. Rotations are available within several pediatric subspecialty areas (see site special features). Our program places a unique emphasis on developing leadership skills. We provide generous travel support and encourage professional involvement beyond CHCO.

Children's Hospital Colorado is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus in the Denver Metro Area. The free-standing children's hospital provides tertiary services to a 10-state region. Pharmacy clinical services are decentralized and integrated into the following subspecialties and services: PICU, NICU, MFM, Cardiology, Pulmonary, Pain, Oncology, BMT, Transplant, ID, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Psychiatry, ED, Code and Trauma Response, Leadership, Faculty and Ambulatory Care. Our pharmacists and residents are a key part of multidisciplinary teaching and education.
