Residency Special Features:   

Residents will become confident practitioners, skilled in evidence-based, medication management and direct patient care using an interdisciplinary team model. Core rotations: pharmacy practice, cardiology, critical care, infectious diseases, and internal medicine. Options for ambulatory care, emergency medicine, informatics, neonatology, oncology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and transitions of care. Longitudinal experiences: academia, administration, drug information, medical emergencies, research, QI, and staffing. Residents become ACLS certified, gain a teaching certificate, and are prepared to successfully pass the BCPS examination.

Residents thrive in this dynamic, educationally-stimulating environment as they mentor and precept student pharmacists from various schools. Residents also interact with frequently internal medicine resident physicians and select formal pharmacist mentors for the year.
