Residency Special Features:   This program emphasizes the application of patient care and enhancing leadership and practice management skills to become a leader in the profession of pharmacy. Training experiences are available in general medicine, surgery, critical care, infectious disease, emergency medicine, ambulatory oncology/infusion center, internal medicine ambulatory care clinic, pharmacy administration, and pharmacy informatics. Residents complete ACLS (PALS is optional). Residents present formal lectures/inservices throughout the year and have the opportunity to serve as a preceptor for pharmacy clerkship. The residents participate in a Teaching Certificate program offered by the University of Montana Skaggs School of Pharmacy.
