Residency Special Features:   The residency is a one-year post-graduate training program designed to provide participants with a well rounded experience in the practice of institutional pharmacy. The residency training focuses on the development of skills necessary to provide optimal drug therapy to patients, become leaders in the medication use process, and function competently on inter-professional teams. Pharmacy residents will work closely with Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residents during the inpatient and outpatient rotations.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Doctor of Pharmacy degree from accredited College of Pharmacy, eligible for license to practice pharmacy in New Mexico, letter of intent, CV, academic transcripts, and 2 letters of recommendation.

Site Special Features:   Memorial Medical Center offers comprehensive care to patients from the communities of southern New Mexico, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Our services include 24 hours Emergency Services and Cardiac Cath lab, a level three Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and an Outpatient Cancer Center. The residency program is closely affiliated with the Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency and pharmacy residents will have the opportunity to lecture to and work with Family Medicine Residents.
