Residency Special Features:   This program is designed to provide the resident opportunities to develop clinical competence in oncology pharmacy practice. The resident will gain experience in adult and pediatric oncology ambulatory care and inpatient medical oncology. A bone marrow transplant rotation may be available through other institutions outside Alaska. Educational experiences include pharmacy clinical meeting presentations, twice monthly oncology related ACPE lectures, and nursing in-services. Opportunities for elective rotations will also be available. The resident will serve as preceptor for pharmacy students and residents and will be integrally involved in patient education and oncology staff development. Teaching opportunities at Idaho State/University of Alaska (ISU/UAA) School of Pharmacy may also be available.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent experience, PGY1 residency, and eligibility for Alaska licensure.
