Residency Special Features:   At Kaiser Permanente San Rafael, pharmacy practice residents play an important role in our integrated health care team by providing pharmaceutical care to our members across the continuum. The success of our program stems from our constant drive for performance excellence. Part of this success is that San Rafael is a smaller Medical Center that allows for a more intimate and collaborative relationship with other health providers. Our service area includes the Medical Center in Terra Linda, with satellite medical offices in downtown San Rafael, Novato and Petaluma. Learning opportunities include: Inpatient Pharmacy Practice, Outpatient Pharmacy Practice, Drug Use Management, Ambulatory Care (Cardiovascular risk management, HIV/Infectious disease, Anticoagulation, Oncology/Infusion Center, Medication Therapy Management, Transitional Care, Pain Management, New Member Outreach, Pharmacy Administration), Internal Medicine, and Acute Care Medicine. Additional responsibilities include precepting students from our affiliated schools: UCSF, UOP and Touro.
