Residency Special Features:   A one year Pharmacy Practice Residency with an emphasis in Ambulatory HIV/AIDS Care. The resident will spend around 16 weeks of the year at the primary clinic practice site, One Community Health in Sacramento. The resident will participate in staff development and education (nursing, pharmacy, medical students, physicians, and staff). The resident will also be required to complete a research project during the residency year and present their research at a UC collaborative residency showcase and will earn a teaching certificate. The resident will develop specialized skills in management of chronic diseases including HIV/AIDS, diabetes, HTN, anticoagulation, hyperlipidemia, chronic pain conditions including neuropathy, mental health conditions, hepatitis C, and asthma/COPD and function as a member of the medical team in a level III Patient Centered Medical Home. Other required and elective rotations are completed at the UC Davis Health Medical Center and Clinics. There is an additional opportunity to provide patient care abroad as part of an international rotation. Special Requirements for Acceptance:   PharmD, eligibility for California licensure by October 1st, pharmacy school transcript, curriculum vitae, letter of intent, and three letters of recommendation (two from clerkship preceptors). On-site interview is required.

Employment is contingent upon drug screening and background check.
