Residency Special Features:   

The residency program facilitates the learning process for residents in gaining the expertise and confidence to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care for patients. The program's core rotations include 4-6 week blocks in critical care, general medicine, infectious disease, pharmacy clinical services (nutrition support, anticoagulation, and pharmacokinetics), Basal Bolus Insulin Program, emergency department and anti-coagulation clinic. Longitudinal rotations include pharmacy educational services, pharmacy management and pharmacy operations. Residents complete a research project, suitable for publication, at Western States. Lastly, there is an optional teaching certificate offered.
