The KDHCD PGY1 program is committed to producing pharmacists who exhibit the core characteristics of leadership, evidence-based practice and service to the community. Required rotations include Internal Medicine 1 and 2, Critical Care, Pain Management, Medication Safety & Formulary Management, Infectious Diseases and Practice Management. Selection of 3 elective rotations allow for a more customized resident experience including Advanced Pain & Palliative Care, Anemia Management, Emergency Medicine, Transitions of Care, Ambulatory Care, Pediatrics and Pharmacy Informatics. Residents will also achieve goals related to leadership and service longitudinally that include Code Blue Response, Staffing, Research and Community Service projects along with completion of a teaching certificate program.

Pharm.D. Required, current or eligible for California licensure, eligible to work in the US PhORCAS Application including CV, Letter of Intent, 3 letters of recommendation (minimum 1 from a clinical rotation) and official Pharmacy School transcript
