Residency Special Features:   *NMS Code 269813 - The residency experience integrates clinical, administrative and distributive functions to teach skills necessary to become pharmaceutical care professionals. The program is designed to meet resident's goals. Core rotations: medicine, pediatrics, administration, ambulatory and critical care. Elective rotations: ER, medication safety, and many more. Other experiences: P&T, MUE, code blue, multidisciplinary rounds, leadership opportunities, and mentoring students. Clinical services: antithrombotic management, antimicrobial management, pharmacokinetic/renal dosing, TPN management, electrolyte management, pain management, glucose management and IV/PO conversions.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy, eligible for licensure in California, three letters of recommendations in the standard PhORCAS form, a cover letter describing the elements of the program that most interest you. In addition, submit a short video of yourself to pharmacy.residency@johnmuirhealth.com (Email Subject: "Your Name – Residency Application Video") that contains the following: (a) The video must contain you speaking; (b) Introduce yourself – say your full name/pharmacy school; (c) Answer the question: "What made you choose pharmacy as your profession?"; (d) Optional: You can choose to include anything else you would like us to know about you. Duration is 2 minutes or less.
