Our goals for our residents are excellence in clinical practice and teaching, readiness for additional post-graduate training and eligibility for board certification. At our institution, residents will gain a wealth of hands on experience in acute care pharmacy practice ranging from emergency medicine and intensive care to various inpatient clinical specialties. In addition, our program is affiliated with the Keck Graduate Institute School of Pharmacy, Chapman University School of Pharmacy, and Western University of Health Sciences’ College of Pharmacy, providing residents with a plethora of educational resources as well as valuable teaching experiences.

    • Adult Intensive Care
    • Infectious Diseases
    • Emergency Medicine
    • Medication Safety
    • Pharmacy operations
    • Pharmacy administration (longitudinal)
    • Ambulatory (longitudinal)
  • Highly customized individual plan with numerous elective rotation options (selected from, but not limited to): 
    • Academia
    • Hematology/Oncology
    • Trauma
    • Cardiovascular Intensive Care
    • Neonatal Intensive Care/Pediatrics

    • Family medicine

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   
  • Successfully passing the California State Board of Pharmacy pharmacist examination within the first 90 days of the residency year
  • Graduation from an Accredited Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program.
