Palomar Medical Center Escondido. The centerpiece of Palomar Health is Palomar Medical Center Escondido. The 740,000-square-foot, 11-story facility opened in 2012. The medical center features 288 all-private, single-patient rooms, 44 emergency and trauma rooms and 11 operating rooms. The 56-acre campus will expand in phases – up to double its current size – to meet the developing needs of North San Diego County's growing community. As one of the country's largest hospital construction projects and the first new North County hospital in 30 years, the campus has already captured the attention of health-care professionals worldwide for its use of nature, light and space – all designed to speed healing. Among the natural features is our 1.5-acre green roof that sits atop the second floor, lush with drought-resistant vegetation with a beautiful view for south-facing patients.

Palomar Medical Center Poway. Tucked away in beautiful Poway valley on the northern outskirts of the city of San Diego lies Palomar Medical Center Poway – a 107-bed acute care facility. Located adjacent to the hospital is the Pomerado Outpatient Pavilion and Villa Pomerado, a 129-bed skilled nursing facility.

Palomar Medical Center Downtown Escondido. As Palomar Health's founding hospital, Palomar Health Downtown Campus in Escondido first opened its doors in 1950 as Palomar Memorial Hospital with 37 beds. Today, this 86-bed facility specializes in acute rehabilitation and behavioral health and also provides many outpatient services including radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, neurodiagnostic testing, sleep center and an infusion center.
