Residency Special Features:   The Greater Southern Alameda Area (GSAA), located 20 miles Southeast of San Francisco and 20 miles Northeast Silicon Valley, is comprised of 4 major medical centers in the cities of Fremont, Hayward, Union City and San Leandro. Kaiser Permanente has been an established, premiere health care service for this East Bay community since the 1960’s. The GSAA has an integrated, multidisciplinary team which provides care to one of the most diverse membership groups in California.
The GSAA provides health care services for all major health care related disease state and services to its over 265,000 members. This service is provided by over 500 physicians and 5,000 employees operating under this integrated health plan. Our pharmacists have a unique opportunity to be involved in many aspects of health care delivery, from assisting clinicians in medication choices to providing direct patient care. The GSAA is continually striving to meet the changing needs of our members and is always exploring new and innovative health care delivery services.
