Multisite: We are part of a broader regional integrated system and can draw upon the resources and practice opportunities of our ambulatory clinics and our 378 bed tertiary care flagship hospital. Residents will have the opportunity to practice in ambulatory clinics, infusion services, as well as in the hospital. Elective practice opportunities in many specialties such as oncology or pediatrics will be available at our flagship hospital.
Residency Special Features:   Our PGY-1 residency program emphasizes practice and leadership in a medically underserved rural setting similar to that of much of the geographic United States. Asante Three Rivers is a teaching hospital hosting medical residents and we believe passionately about training the next generation of professionals dedicated to caring for rural populations. Our residents gain clinical experience ranging across internal medicine and surgery, critical care, antimicrobial stewardship and anticoagulation, infusion services, practice management and leadership, formulary management and med safety, and transitions of care. Residents will have the opportunity to lecture at and pursue a teaching certificate with an Oregon university and precept Pharm.D. students. Residents complete a major project, present a poster at the ASHP Mid-Year Clinical Meeting, and present their findings at a regional meeting.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Candidates must be eligible to work in the US and to be licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Oregon. Academic transcripts, CV, and three letters of recommendation will be required.
