Residency Special Features:   We offer a dynamic residency experience with a strong focus on patient care and education. Clinical services include anticoagulation management, antimicrobial stewardship, total parenteral nutritional management, pain management, pharmacokinetic and drug information consultations and emergency code response. Clinical learning experiences assist the residents to expand their knowledge of therapeutics and aid in the development of problem-solving skills. Leadership skills and professionalism will be strengthened through the practice management component of the residency program. The residency experience is tailored by the resident development plan to help the resident achieve individual career goals. A variety of opportunities will be afforded the resident in direct patient care, teaching, and management experiences.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:   Eligible for licensure in the State of Washington, personal letter of intent indicating why post-graduate training at this institution is being pursued, current curriculum vitae, minimum of three letters of professional reference (Two references should be from practicing pharmacists with whom the applicant has had patient care experience. Site Special Features:   Highline Medical Center is located minutes from Seattle/Tacoma Airport in the southwest corner of the greater Seattle area. We are primarily an acute care facility but have a long-term ventilator unit that offers a unique critical care learning experience for residents. Additionally, we have a satellite pharmacy located in our comprehensive oncology center where our pharmacists are an integral part of the health care team.
