Residency Special Features:   This residency program offers training in a diversity of experiences in clinical pharmacy practice settings. A wide variety of rotations are available through ten acute care decentralized clinical pharmacy services including, internal medicine cardiology, critical care, antimicrobial stewardship, pediatrics, pediatric and adult oncology, renal and cardiothoracic transplant, acute psychiatric care and others. A project and administrative experiences providee a well rounded experience. The residency year is customized individually for each resident in order to meet their personal interests and professional goals. Each resident will receive training in progressive clinical practices such as prescriptive authority protocols, pain consultation, and anticoagulation therapy dosing and monitoring. The residents are given the opportunity to serve as preceptors for Pharm.D. students and be involved in didactic teaching. Attendance at regional and national meetings are included in the program allowing for poster and project presentations.
